रवि : गुड ईवनिंग माया ! तुमसे मिलकर अच्छा लगा । पप्पू ने मुझे तुम्हारे बारे में बहुत बातें बताई हैं । ( Good evening, Maya ! It’s nice to meet you. Pappu has told me a lot about you. )
माया : पर हम मिल पहली बार रहे हैं । ( But we are meeting for the first time. )
रवि : हां पप्पू ने कहा था तुम अपने करियर के बारे में बहुत एम्बिशस हो । ( Yeah ! Pappu said you are very ambitious about your career. )
माया : एम्बिशियस तो नहीं जानती पर हां, मैं एक शानदार कैरियर पाना चाहूँगी । ( Ambitious I don’t know, but yes, I would like to have a brilliant career. )

माया : फाइनली तो नहीं; पर मेरी प्रेफरेंसेज है यूएस, कनाडा और ऑस्ट्रेलिया ।
( Not finally. But my preferences are US, Canada and Australia. )
रवि : काफी बढ़िया है ।
( Good enough ! )
पप्पू : पर माया, क्या इंडिया में अच्छे बी-स्कूल नहीं है ? आईआईएम्स, सिम्बियोसिस आदि ।

रवि : शायद तुम सही कहते हो, पर बाहर पढ़ने के अपने फायदे हैं ।

रवि : उससे तुम्हें इंटरनेशनल एक्सपोजर और एक डाइवर्सिफाइड माहौल में सीखने का मौका मिलता है । ( That gives you international exposure and learning in a diversified environment. )
पप्पू : समझा । ( I see. )

माया : काम का अनुभव ? किसलिए ? मैं एमबीए के लिए अप्लाई करने जा रही हूं, जॉब के लिए नहीं । ( Work experience ? What for ? I am going to apply for an MBA, not for a job.)
रवि : कोई फर्क नहीं, दुनिया भर में लगभग सभी टॉप बी-स्कूल्स कम से कम दो-तीन सालों का वर्क एक्सपीरियंस मांगते हैं ।
( No matter, almost all the top B-schools worldwide require at least 2-3 years of full time work experience. )
माया : ओह, पर मुझे तो अभी अपना कॉमर्स ग्रेजुएशन पूरा करना बाकी है । हालांकि पिछले दिनों मैंने 1-2 समर जॉब्स किए थे ।
( Oh, but I have yet to complete my commerce graduation. Although, I did couple of summer jobs lately.)
पप्पू : इसका मतलब सीमा तुम्हें अभी थोड़ा सा इंतजार करना पड़ेगा । ( That means Maya, you will have to wait a little bit. )
माया : हां मुझे डर है; फिर भी बहुत-बहुत शुक्रिया रवि भैया, आपने वाकई मुझे मेरे ड्रीम करियर का रास्ता दिखा दिया है ।

सीमा : वाकई। आखिरी दो ओडीआइज कैंसिल करने पड़ गए थे।
(Really! The last two ODI’s had to be cancelled.)
राकेश : आयरॉनिकली तब जब इंडिया ताबड़तोड़ जीत रहा था। हम आसानी से सीरीज 7-0 से झटक सकते थें।
(Ironically then when India was on a winning spree. We could well have clinched the series 7-0.)
सीमा : होपफुली। और फिर टेस्ट सीरीज पर भी तो कितना कंफ्यूजन था। असल में इंग्लिश खिलाड़ी काफी डर गए थे।
(Hopefully! And then there was such confusion over the Test series too. Actually the English players had got scared.)
राकेश : वह तो बट नेचुरल था. थैंक गॉड अथॉरिटी ने आखिरकार इसे बचा ही लिया….दोनों टेस्ट के वेन्यूज बदलकर.
(That was but natural. Thank god the authorities finally managed to salvage it….. by changing the venues of both the Tests.)
सीमा : और सीरीज चेन्नई में शुरू हो सकी. स्पोर्ट्स मैं कहूंगी धीरे-धीरे जिंदा होते जा रहे हैं. अच्छा साइन है यूथ के लिए है ना.
(And the series could start at Chennai. Sports I would say are coming alive gradually. A good sign for the youth, isn’t it?)
